Description	NESTA and the UK Energy Research Centre held a reception to mark the start of their joint Carbon Crucible programme for early-career researchers. The event was hosted by NESTA's Chief Executive, Jonathan Kestenbaum and UK Energy Research Centre Executive Director, John Loughhead. Government Chief Scientific Adviser and Head of the Government Office for Science, Professor John Beddington, gave a keynote address on innovating for a low-carbon society.
