his event focused on innovation across Scotland and the specific drivers of innovation including business, education and knowledge transfer.

It outlined a number of policy recommendations on how to support innovation in Scotland, ensuring that it fully benefits from the opportunities of globalisation.


Speakers included Colin Burns, Professor of Design Innovation at Dundee University and former Global Head at IDEO London; Jonathan Kestenbaum, NESTA CEO; Tom Ilube, Chief Executive of garlic; Roy Leighton, educational innovator; Tom Tumilty, Head of Innovation Policy Unit at the Scottish Government; Ian McCoull, The Director of Innovation Operations, Scottish Enterprise; Barry Ayre, Founder Chair of Firstport and an active trustee of both Scotland UnLtd and Columba 1400; Tanya Ewing, Founder of Ewgeco a NESTA supported business; and George Boag, Manages the Technology Ventures Scotland (TVS) Forum and Chief Executive of Targeting Innovation Ltd.
