Innovative people
The UK’s capacity to innovate will determine how well we cope with current and future opportunities and threats to our economy and society. To significantly increase that capacity, we need to develop the innovative skills and attitudes of people – specifically young people – those who are currently in the education system.
We want to encourage and develop the building blocks of innovation – creativity, adaptability, teamwork and an informed view of risk – that will benefit both them and our wider society. It is also important that our education system (in the widest sense) can recognise, reward and nurture these innovation skills better.
