Interdisciplinary collaboration

Our work on interdisciplinary collaboration is investigating how interactions between different knowledge communities within the UK generate new knowledge and original ideas.

We are particularly interested in work that explores:

  • the institutional barriers that need to be addressed to allow collaborative space to be created and developed.
  • the cultural barriers that need to be overcome for interdisciplinary research to flourish.
