Description | We published a collection of essays on equipping young people for a rapidly changing world. 'Preparing for the Future' captures viewpoints and insights from a diverse group of business leaders, entrepreneurs, young people and academics. There were two parts to the event. The first was a 'Question Time' style panel made up of young people who have undertaken research, exploring their views on the most effective ways of developing skills for the future world of work. Attendees had the opportunity to submit questions to the panel when they signed up for this session. The second was a discussion with Jim Knight MP, Minister for Schools and Learners at the Department for Children, Schools and Families, Richard Lambert, Director-General of the CBI, and Julia Cleverdon, CEO of Business in the Community, who considered how best to prepare young people for an unknown future. |
