Description
This project will identify, assess and examine how innovative characteristics are expressed by 15-19 year olds, through formal education and in their everyday lives.
The project will develop and test a measure of innovative characteristics in young people. This will take place in the context of different types of secondary schools in different locations, for example in inner city and rural areas.
The project aims to:
- identify and assess the innovative characteristics of young people;
- identify those innovative characteristics that may be developed in young people through either formal or informal education;
- develop an assessment tool that would support education for innovation;
- prepare recommendations for education policy based on the research findings.
