Third sector innovation
In the Challenge team we are interested in supporting and stimulating innovation in the third sector as part of our broader work in social innovation and finance.
The Innovation Exchange, launched in October 2007, fosters innovation within the third sector and as part of this, finds ways of improving relationships between third sector social innovators, public service commissioners and investors.
NESTA's support for the Innovation Exchange is focused on helping social innovators to develop their ideas and supporting the best ideas to scale.
About the Next Practice programme
The Innovation Exchange is developing a Next Practice programme which focuses on helping third sector innovators to develop, evaluate and grow their work in the areas of independent living and excluded young people.
The programme will do this by offering a combination of generic support - advice, coaching and a small number of events - and customised support around the specific challenges that innovators face. In addition, some of the participants in the Next Practice programme will receive funding of up to £50,000 from the NESTA Innovation Exchange Fund.
About the NESTA Innovation Exchange Fund
The NESTA Innovation Exchange Fund is designed to provide additional support to the most significant projects with the greatest potential to grow to scale. Funding will support further work to develop and demonstrate an innovation and/or to evaluate it rigorously.
